The Department of Biotechnology J.H. Govt. PG College, Betul is one of the few departments in college and stands out today as a unique institution where inter disciplinary teaching and research biotech-sciences have established permanent roots. It was established in 2006 for undergraduation and then Post Graduation started in 2017. The integrated approach to biotechnological research and training in the last five decades has kept the department of biotechnology a forerunner among the college departments. The department is imparting high quality teaching and research in diverse and integrated fields of genetic and tissue culture sciences. The students of this department have been securing places in all sorts of state and national level entrance test viz. NET,GATE,SET etc. and placements in industries, teaching and research institutes easily because of it’s holistic nature of the course taught and academic excellence.
